Who requires Hunter Education in Saskatchewan?

Residents

Any person born after January 1, 1971 is required to have hunter education.

Non-Residents

Non-residents must have proof of a Hunter Safety Course from their jurisdiction.

Minimum Age Requirements

  • Big Game Licence:12 years of age
  • Small Game Licence:12 years of age

Exam challenge

We do not except challenges for our Hunter Safety course. You need to take one of the following three options;

  • the minimum 16 hour in class course,
  • our online course, or
  • take our Home study course.

Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL)

A PAL is NOT required to obtain a Saskatchewan Hunting License.
